Washington, D.C., November 11, 2020 – CIRQ, an International Standards Organization (ISO) audit and certification body that is a subsidiary of the Insights Association, has announced that Cint Australia, has been recertified to the ISO 20252:2019 Standard—Market, opinion and social research, including insights and data analytics.

ISO 20252 was updated and streamlined in 2019 to be more relevant to current market research stakeholder needs and include new data practices, ethical requirements, and additional updated clauses on data management security that align with the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). ISO 20252:2019 establishes globally recognized terms, definitions, and service requirements for project management in research organizations. Processes outlined in ISO 20252:2019 are designed to produce transparent, consistent, well-documented and error-free methods of conducting and managing research projects.

Headquartered in Surry Hills, Sydney, Cint Australia is a division of Cint, a global market research technology company that operates the world’s largest sample exchange. The company’s technology platform automates sample fieldwork and operations, bringing together market research buyers and sellers for gathering insights quickly, cost-effectively and at scale. Cint's technology is used for online panel, sample and project management, audience management and monetization.

“At Cint, we are committed to meeting and exceeding industry standards and best practices for market research in all 150 markets where we do business, including Australia, an area where we are experiencing swift growth,” said Karine Parsy, Cint’s Executive Vice President, APAC. “Our innovative, technology-first approach is founded in doing what’s best for our 100 million global respondents, and in delivering quality outcomes for our clients around the world.”

Cint Australia’s certification covers online panel and sample management carried out by Cint project managers in Australia, specifically: sampling, including access panels and self-completion to be attested to in accordance with Annexes A and E of ISO 20252:2019.

“The audit was completed under the all-remote framework we developed once pandemic restrictions were implemented in Melbourne, AUS to Tokyo to Sydney,” explained Juliana Wood, Managing Director of CIRQ. “We appreciate the flexibility and determination of Cint staff and our auditors to ensure this audit was thorough and complete despite the changing logistical challenges.”
