The Marketing Research Education Foundation (MREF) has announced that Phoenix Marketing International (Phoenix MI) has become a gold level sponsor of the foundation with an $18,000 gift. Phoenix MI’s Advisor to the Chairman, Sanford Schwartz, noted that the company has a long history of contributions to the community, and they are grateful to be able to add MREF to the list of organizations they support. “MREF has been doing important work for several years,” noted Schwartz, “We are very happy to join the list of companies in our industry who are partnering with them to improve access to education worldwide. We are also glad to see that MREF has pivoted to support those in need during this pandemic. This is an important time to come together to support others, and we’re happy to be part of something that’s making a difference for those who need it.”

MREF Chairman of the Board, Steve Schlesinger, added, “We are so grateful that the team at Phoenix is prioritizing giving back during this challenging time. We couldn’t do this important work without partnerships like these. I can’t thank them enough for this important and generous commitment.” This year, in addition to raising funds to support its mission of educating children around the world, MREF also initiated a COVID-19 Relief Campaign. Seeded with a $25,000 gift from the foundation, the campaign directly supports the efforts of Feeding America and Food Banks Canada, both of which are working on the front lines to address the significant increase in the number of people throughout North America facing food insecurity as a result of the pandemic. To date, the campaign has raised over $50,000 from individuals and organizations across the marketing research industry.

Recently, the board of MREF has worked to increase visibility and awareness of MREF’s mission; welcoming two new diamond level sponsors, Delvinia and Pure Spectrum, and more than 30 other gold, silver, bronze and friend level sponsorships. The foundation welcomes organizations interested in supporting its mission to contact Andra Davidson, its executive director, for additional information.

MREF’s mission is to unify, inspire and activate the marketing research community to focus its collective resources to educate children and youth worldwide. With the collective contributions of more 100 organizations in the industry MREF has made a positive impact on the lives of hundreds of children and their families.
