MEMBER SPOTLIGHT: Cathy Bukosky

For our August volunteer spotlight, we felt compelled to shine a light on our Board Secretary and Sponsorship Committee Chair, Cathy Bukosky. Cathy is someone who goes above and beyond as a board volunteer and the entire Insights GNY community is thankful for all that she does for our chapter and our community.

Cathy came to the Insights industry after having spent nearly 20 years working in finance. She fell in love with research after attending her first Greater New York Chapter event back in 2015. It was then she decided to join G3 Translate to help provide market researchers and insights managers with a global voice through foreign language translation services. Shortly after starting her career in research, she joined the Greater New York chapter, rolling up her sleeves and jumping into various volunteer roles. Cathy joined the Board in 2018 and has been actively promoting the industry ever since.

Here's what fellow board members had to say about Cathy. . .

Cathy’s a ray of sunshine. She’s positive, thorough, and always a joy to work with. She approaches our board work with a wonderful mix of Joie de vivre, and with the seriousness that the position requires in representing and serving our members. I always love working with Cathy on any endeavor as she’s so open, and thoughtful. I think it says a lot about Cathy that one of her favorite activities at events is the registration because she just loves to meet and talk to people. We’re so lucky to have her on the chapter board this year. Thanks for all you do Cathy!  - Natalie Lauder, Insights GNY Treasurer

Cathy’s passion for the Greater NY Chapter is outshone only by the dedication and energy which she brings to everything she manages on behalf of our Board and to the benefit of our members.   It has been an absolute pleasure getting to know her this year….she truly gives us her all and we’re so lucky to have her on our team. - Hilary Fischer,  GNY IA Chapter Advisor (PPAC)

Cathy strives in her dedication to the Chapter, whether it's communicating and recruiting the chapter's sponsors, or being a friendly face welcoming new members at events, she always does it with a smile. Cathy has a great sense of warmth, she spreads to those around her and a true New Yorker at heart. Her attention to detail and commitment does not go unnoticed. Cathy's enthusiastic spirit helps get the job done! - Danielle Rissmeyer, Insights GNY President-Elect

Cathy is one of the most dedicated individuals I have ever met. She takes on every challenge with gusto and never gives up. She works incredibly hard to achieve the best possible outcome. As this year’s Sponsorship committee chair, she’s gone above and beyond to ensure that all of our generous sponsors are taken care of and happy with their investment in our chapter. She’s a lovely and amazing woman with a great sense of humor and always seems to have a smile. -Nancy Hernon, Insights GNY President

first met Cathy as a volunteer for the NY/Philly JCC. She was (and is) a fireball!! She does anything that is asked of her and is always willing to give a helping hand. Cathy cares about the Chapter, and delivering premium service to our membership. The board is simply better with her on it! - Ginger De Stefano, GNY IA Chapter Advisor (PPAC)

Any interaction with Cathy always makes my day a little brighter. Not only does she give the best "mom hugs" but she is also a bad AF businesswoman who excels in her role as Insights GNY's Board Secretary and Sponsorship Committee Chair. She is an incredible mentor for all women in research and simply is #goals - Claire Kuhn, Insights GNY Director at Large
