Smarty Pants market research and strategic consulting firm has announced the addition of Los Angeles-based Kayla Parker as “Insights Whiz.”
She is among 25 new researchers added to the full-service consultancy in 2021.

Parker specializes in recruiting, project management, moderating and the creation of consumer stories. She supports work for Smarty Pants’ flagship retail clients, investigating consumer mindsets and omni-channel shopper behaviors. Parker most recently served as a market intelligence analyst for Össur Americas, a leading provider of prosthetics and mobility solutions. Prior, she was a market research specialist at Pioneer Industries, a manufacturer of residential and commercial faucets and fixtures.

She began her market research career as a qualitative and quantitative research assistant at California State Polytechnic University and later at the Collaborative Neuroscience Network. “Kayla is the unique combination of academic pedigree, applied research savvy and creative thinker. She exudes professionalism and empathy and has a unique gift for helping consumers feel at ease while sharing details of their lives,” states Smarty Pants senior director Laura Munroe. Parker earned a Master of Science in Applied Psychology from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (with a minor in International Business Marketing) from California State Polytechnic University. She is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Organizational Behavior at Claremont Graduate University. Parker is based outside of Los Angeles in Chino Hills, California.
